Scary Story (By Elima B)

A week ago, in Brihuega’s village, a group of girls and boys went for a walk in the village. They arrived at Santa Maria’s park. There, they sat on the bank, some on the floor, because they didn’t fit in the bank. The boys and girls began to talk and to laugh. A girl, Patricia, was to stick a gim under the bank. But she touched something that wasn’t the bank. It was something else, but she didn’t know what. Patricia tried to removed it. Then she thought that it was other pasted gum. Quickly, she removed her hand. She stood and she waxed under the bank. It wasn’t a gum, it was a letter. Her friends said: What are you doing? She said that she had touched something, and this something was a letter.
The boys and girls stood amazed. Ismael went to remove but the letter was very stick. Finally, Ismael removed it. Daniel opened the letter. Patricia wanted to read it.
Patricia caught the paper of the letter. She said that she couldn’t read it. She didn’t read the letters. Asier, other boy of the group said “bring out the mobile”. Koral, other girl of the group, got her mobile. Daniel caught her mobile and he put the mobile under to read the letter. Patricia let Laura. Laura began to read. The letter said:
“Today, 31 October. Another year.
I have spent three years doing this.
I wanted to say that I miss you.
I can’t live without you. And I will
Always carry you in my heart. I love
you. And I will never forget. My life
means nothing without you. I can’t
forget them. Three long years I have
been thinking what to do with my
life… but unfortunately, they have been
three years wasting time. So at this moment,
I have decided to leave this world, I can’t
Take more. I leave this letter under the bank where I’m
Sitting, it’s in the memory”
By: Aimara
The boys, after reading this, were impacted, hallucinated… The fear was in their bodies. For this, the boys and the girls left Santa Maria’s park, and they home.
Next day, the boys and the friends went to Santa Maria’s park. It was half past five. Patricia took the letter. They read again the letter. They began to think about it.
Noemí said that she thought this letter was about a girl, Aimara. Aimara had three friends, but her friends clied, and Aimara couldn’t live without them. And she wanted to die. Noemí’s friends agreed whit Noemí.
That day was 29 October, in two days 31 October. The dates would coinoide. The boys and girls asked their parents about what had happened three years ago.
María Jimenez came home. She asked their parents about what had happened three years ago. Their parents began to think. They realled that the 31, there was an explosion of a boiler, and three girls died. There were Elima Mérida, Mamen Rodrigo and María Marquez. María Jimenez began to panic. The letter was true. The parents said that after three years a friend of Elima, María and Mamen killed herself.
Next day, girls and boys went to Santa Maria’s park. María told them what his parents had told her. Her friends were frightened.
It was getting dark. Miguel, a boy of the group, began to laugh. He didn’t believe anything. So he went home.
Miguel went from Santa Maria’s park and he saw come girls in the “guinches”. Miguel saw them ran to this house.
He told his mother what had happened. And Miguel and his mother went to Santa Maria’s park and when they arrived, there was nothing. They went home and they heard an explosion.
Then went running and they saw Miguel’s friends were dead. The castle had exploded.
Miguel and his mother rang the ambulance.
Miguel went home and saw a message written in the windows. It said:
“Now, it’s just you, you didn’t trust in her friends”

ONE MORE NIGHT (BY NOEMÍ)

It was the Saint’s Day and,as every year,in the church of Santa Maria the mass celebrated for all the people that went to keep vigil over to their deceased. When the mass finished,a group of teens went to the cemetery to bring candles to their keep over.
On the cemetery, sixteen teens went into with their candles.Everyone were scared because in this night, supposedly, all the keep vigil over go out of their tombstones and they still have more fear because it was 3am and,as all of us know, there is Keep Vigil Over’s Hour and Witch’s Hour.
One of the teens of the group get lost because the tombstone of his keep vigil over was faster than the others’ and the the teens name was Ismael. They met at 4am at the doors of the cemetery too go to their house but they realize that there weren’t all of the teens,Ismael wasn’t here.
The fifteen teens remaining came into again to the cemetery to find him. They gathered in the following groups:Nahia,Elima Bonacho and Asier;Mamen,Noemi and Pablo;Aimara,Patricia and Daniel;Miguel,Elima Merida and Maria Marquez;Maria Jimenez,Laura and Koral.
When the groups were done, they went to different places to find him.At 3.30am,they haven’t found him and Koral and Nahia began to worry for Ismael and they began to discuss:
-And…if Ismael has fallen in a tombstone?-said Koral.
-But,how he has fallen in an tombstone if they are closed?Maybe Ismael has hooked with a branch and he has fallen to the floor.-Said Nahia.
It was like that,Aimara’s group found him lying down with mud in his sweatshirt.Aimara’s group returned the entry of the cemetery when all were here but when they arrived here…Noemi and Mamen saw red scratches on his cheek…
Aimara’s group hadn’t realized of there scratches on his cheek because it was dark and finaly, they could distinguish the scratches because here there was lights. The scratches that Ismael had in his cheek were three parallerls scratches…
-OMG! Ismael has Trinidad’s Mark!-Said Noemi.
-What is this?-Said Miguel.
-Yeah,what is this?-Said Elima Bonacho.
Ismael began to be nervous and scared.
-They are…they are the Evil’s Marks…-said Noemi.
-Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?-Said the fourteen teens together.
-Yeah,ok,this is the Evil’s Mark.But,what is the meaning?-Said Pablo.
-It means that, for one moment, the evil has been in his body…but we don’t know if the evil has gone or no…said Noemi.
Elima Merida,Asier and Maria Marquez went to watch Ismael and together said:
-Ismael,does it hurt you?
-No,why?-Said Ismael.
Because…because they are bigger than before…
Maria Jimenez,Laura and Patricia also walked to Ismael’s position to watch it better and they scared.
-I think that it’s better we go…-Said trembling voice of Maria Jimenez.
-I agree with Maria!Who comes with us?-Said Laura.
-Eh,wait,how can we leave Ismael here with his scratches bleeding?-Said Patricia and Aimara.
They went with Ismael to sit in the benches to watch if his face was as usual;Ismael stood up to drink some water from the
fountain and before arrived at the fountain,he fall to the floor in fainting fit.
Then,Pablo and Daniel, the strongest in the group, went to put Ismael up again. When they got it,Ismael went crazy and he grabbed Pablo’s neck.Ismael didn’t have a reason for doing this.
Then Daniel,Miguel and Asier were running to stop Ismael. At 4am,Ismael returned to his normal aspect…but his eyes were as red as tomatoes and he still had his scratches on his cheek. At 4.15am,Koral looked at Ismael’s face and the scratches weren’t here.
-OMG…your scratches have disappeared…-said Koral.
-It’s right…I don’t like being here,it is happening strange things.I think that we should go to the Heras,at least there are more light than here.-Said Elima Merida.
-It sounds good! But the Heras are on the other side of when we are.-Said Mamen.
-OMG! Mamen! You always have a snag.-Said Asier.
-ok,guys.We want to leave off this place.Am I wrong?-Said Noemi.
-What has she said?I can leave this place,it is mine.-Said Ismael.
-She hasn’t said anythig…be quier,fierce.-Said Daniel.
He is strange…Am I wrong?-Said Nahia.
-Yeah,since his marks have dissappeared of his cheek…-Said Maria Marquez and Laura.
-What have they said?-Siad Ismael.
-And again…why are you in a battle with all of us?-Said Pablo.
Nobody answered.
-I think that the best is that we go tho this house.Do you agree with me?-Said Miguel.
-I agree with him.-Said Elima Bonacho.
On the way to Ismael’s house, all left alone Daniel and Pablo with Ismael because it was late and the other teens wanted to go to sleep. When Daniel and Pablo arrived at Ismael’s house, they had to find his keys because he wasn’t good to do it.
They opened the door, they took off his sweatshirt and his trousers dirty of mud and they put him on the bed. When they finished, they went to their own houses to sleep.
The next morning, they went to Ismael’s house to watch where he was and he walked to his bedroom and they went to find their friends and when they kenw the notice, they were so sad…the funeral was the next evening and all of his partners were crying and when the workers put the tumbstone on the hole…it was heard some knocks and the workers openend the tumbstone.
Then,Miguel said with his face of happiness:
-OMG! Ismael, you are again with us.
And Miguel hugged Ismael and everything was like before.

The Corrs - What can I do?

"What Can I Do"

I haven't slept at all in days
It's been so long since we've talked
And I have been here many times
I just don't know what I'm doing wrong

What can I do to make you love me
What can I do to make you care
What can I say to make you feel this
What can I do to get you there

There's only so much I can take
And I just got to let it go
And who knows I might feel better, yeah
If I don't try and I don't hope

What can I do to make you love me
What can I do to make you care
What can I say to make you feel this
What can I do to get you there

No more waiting, no more, aching...
No more fighting, no more, trying...

Maybe there's nothing more to say
And in a funny way I'm calm
Because the power is not mine
I'm just going to let it fly

What can I do to make you love me
(What can I do to make you love me)
What can I do to make you care
(What can I do to make you care)
What can I say to make you feel this
(What can I do to make you love me)
What can I do to get you there
(What can I do to make you care)
What can I do to make you love me
(What can I do to make you love me)
What can I do to make you care
(What can I do to make you care)
What can I change to make you feel this
(What can I do to make you love me)
What can I do to get you there
(What can I do to make you care)

And love me... love me...

Writing

WRITING: SOME CONSIDERATIONS

  1. PRE- WRITING:
    1. Brainstorming: ideas.
    2. Ordering ideas and conclusion.
    3. Searching the appropriate vocabulary and grammar.
  2. WRITING
    1. Choosing the type of text
    2. Paragraphs
                                         i.    Introduction (1st paragraph)
                                        ii.    Development
                                      iii.    Conclusion (last paragraph)
  1. EDITING
    1. Clear and clean
    2. Grammar
    3. Paragraphs
    4. Vocabulary
    5. Spelling

TYPES OF TEXTS

  1. DESCRIPTIONS

    • Your description should have a clear structure:
                                         i.    Introduction
ii.   Main points (Each idea, one paragraph)

1.     1st idea
2.    2nd idea
3.    3rd idea…
                                      iii.    Conclusion
·      Try to vary your use of vocabulary.
·      Introduce interesting details.

  1. OPINION ESSAY

The first step is the brainstorming. Once you have your ideas ordered, you can start writing. Remember to divide your essay into clear paragraphs so the examiner can follow you progression.
How to say it is far more important than what you say, i. E., be careful with your grammar. You are examinated of English not of your ideas.
Structure:
-          Introduction
-          Main ideas
§  Idea 1
§  Idea 2…
-          Conclusion
§  Summing up
§  Your own ideas.

  1. FOR AND AGAINST ESSAYS

Structure:
-          Introduction
-          Arguments for/against
-          Arguments against/for
-          Conclusion
Make sure you give more or less equal weight to both sides of the argument.
Summarize your personal opinion in the final paragraph.
State your arguments clearly and simply. Include only points that are relevant.
Check the spelling, grammar and punctuation of your composition.
A good thing could be your arguments before the conclusion, i.e., as for example; you are for death penalty, so then put the arguments for it in the third paragraph. Thus you will be more coherent with your conclusion.

  1. A STORY

Structure:
·         Paragraph 1: set the scene. Describe the main characters, where and when the story takes place.
·         Paragraphs 2-3: develop the story through the main events. Don’t forget to organize the events carefully, choosing appropriate linking words.
·         Last paragraph: ending. Try to make the ending interesting. Open endings where the reader has to guess what happens next can be effective.

  1. A DIALOGUE

A dialogue is a conversation between two people or among more than two people.
Structure:
·         Begin with a greeting.
·         Go on with some questions-answers (if you write a short answer, make sure you use the correct auxiliary verb)
·         End with a bye greeting.
Try to make your conversation to sound more realistic and natural using words such as ‘well’, ‘I’m afraid…’, or question tags…
